Events Calendar

The TechNet Committee, along with Staff Development, present seminars, video sessions and workshops on a regular basis. Seminars are designed around special topics such as safety but with the resources available can be created to suit any learning outcome. Video sessions allow for a wider range of topics to be covered as the resources of the Risk Management Unit as well as Staff Development can be accessed.

If your school or area is holding seminars that would be relevant to other technical staff please let us know so we can list it here. While we endeavour to promote issues and topics relevant to all staff, we realize that there may be other areas that also need to be addressed. Please email us if there are events you would like to see scheduled.

Committee Meetings

Committee meetings are held every third Tuesday of the month in the Chancellory. Meetings start around 12.00pm and normally finish by 1.30pm. Anyone who would like to raise an issue is welcome to attend.

Workshops, Forums and Trade Displays are a way of keeping the technical community up to date with latest technologies and developments.

Seminars

From time to time we are fortunate to have staff give a talk about their area of expertise. These have been very informative and give a good insight into other disciplines within the university.

Site Visits

The TechNet Committee arranges site visits for technical staff to various University facilities, laboratories and services to develop personal contacts often lacking in such a diverse institution. Any areas you would like to have a look at, by all means let us know.
