Services at Staff Development

A range of services available at the Staff Development Unit for the use of all technical staff at any time include :

Staff Development is running a series of workshops to help UNSW staff better plan their career and personal development. Additional Career Development Scheme Tools include a Self Assessment Checklist and Coaching Worksheet. The Resource Centre has material that can help with career planning (from both a personal and organisational perspective), resumes, covering letters and interviews. Material available includes books, videos, web sites, CD-ROM's and card sorts.
  Organization and Staff Development

The Institute of Languages

The Institute of Languages run Free English Classes to all staff members of UNSW who would like to improve their English Communication skills. Classes take place on the Western Campus during work hours and cover areas such as:

• writing skills for administrative or academic purposes
• telephone skills
• pronunciation
• seminar presentations
• or may be custom designed for several staff members with similar language needs.
