Definition: A material safety data sheet is a compilation of information on the identity of chemicals, health and physical hazards, exposure limits, and precautions.

Australian MSDS's must be formatted in a particular manner as described by a National Code of Practice. The following documents provide assistance in designing and reading MSDS's:
